John Rutledge House
Charleston, South Carolina.
John Rutledge, a signer of the US Constitution, built this elegant home in 1763. Visit and re-live history. Downtown location near shopping & historic sites.
Bed and Breakfast Description

John Rutledge, one of the fifty-five signers of the US constitution, built his home in 1763. Now exquisitely restored, it is one of only fifteen homes belonging to those signers to survive – and the only one to now accommodate overnight guests.
One may choose between the classic elegance of rooms and spacious suites in the grad residence, or its two carriage houses. Antiques and historically accurate reproductions give each room its own warmth and distinction, complemented by the finest modern amenities, conveniences and personalized service.
Recognized by the Mobil Four-Star Award, a noted National Trust Historic Hotels of America (TM), space in the John Rutledge House Inn is limited - we urge you to make reservations early.
