Bed and Breakfast Description

Join us in the "opium den", an Asian-inspired parlor, for a sample of our locally brewed Schells Beer or a Minnesota Varietal wine from Morgan Creek Vineyard.

Breakfast served on antique china with Bohemian crystal highlighting German style recipes. The sausage and bacon, cured locally, has a flavor that might only be found in the Old Country. Our blend of coffee compliments the array of culinary delights.

The artistic palette here includes vintage linen and dinnerware, with food being the medium of choice. With our Bohemia ancestry, we still find it deliciously important to use farm fresh, organic eggs and local produce in our epicurean creations.

We have excellent fine dining and renowned German restaurants. Local theater and art galleries along with our many regional Minnesota historic sites and prairies, offer much to see and do in this quaint ‘Christmas City’.

With the New Ulm Bike Path recently completed and Flandrau State Park, we offer year round, right out the door, recreational opportunities for biking, hiking, golfing and cross Country Skiing. After a day of adventure we offer spa services on site and off.

Retreat and getaway packages are designed for your wishes: from weddings to mother daughter cookie baking events, even a schells trip to the brewery with the 'boys' weekend. We can plan & host it all!

Bockus: Our largest room offers a king bed, sofa w/queen sleeper, overstuffed chairs, breakfast/game table with two side chairs, and two-person whirlpool. Like all the rooms, private bath and wired to the outside world, but you might not want that...
