Bed and Breakfast Description

In 1868, a prominent industrialist and two-time Senator John Wilson and his wife built this home near the banks of the Missouri River.

Come stay in one of three spacious guestrooms each with private bath. Two of the rooms also enjoy private porches. We have several extra amenities available to help you celebrate that special event.

The Prairie Queen is known for its wonderful breakfasts, served to you in the dining room or under the pergola overlooking the grounds and water garden. Special arrangements can be made for breakfast in your room if desired.

Your hosts, Bob and Jan, want to make your stay in Leavenworth one you will always remember. They are always ready with tour ideas and restaurant recommendations. After a day exploring come home to a dip in the hot tub or just relax with a cup of tea.

With our historic downtown district for shopping, our museums, and many restaurants, you'll be pleasantly surprised to find out just how much our area has to offer. We are convenient to Kansas City, the Kansas City Airport (MCI), NASCAR Racing (Kansas Speedway), Cabela's, Nebraska Furniture Mart, Verizon Amphitheater, and Weston, MO.
