Saravilla is a three story Dutch Colonial home built in 1894, and was originally a "summer cottage.” Saravilla offers a delightful taste of the Bed and Breakfast experience for everyone.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Located right in the middle of Michigan's lower peninsula, we are near Mt. Pleasant, Central Michigan University, and Soaring Eagle Casino and an easy drive to numerous golf courses and other recreational and cultural attractions.

Saravilla offers a delightful taste of the Bed and Breakfast experience for everyone, from B&B first-timers to seasoned travelers. Our fully-restored, three story, 11,000 square foot Dutch Colonial home dates from 1894, when local lumber baron Ammi W. Wright built this “summer cottage” as a belated wedding gift for his daughter, Sara.

Listed on the Michigan Historic Register, Saravilla boasts imported period woodwork, original wall coverings, period light fixtures, leaded glass work, and magnificent craftsmanship throughout. With its landscaped grounds, inviting front porch, landmark turret, seven very spacious welcoming guest rooms, and 1200-square foot ballroom, Saravilla delights our guests with the grace and charm of an era gone by.

Awaken in the morning to the smell of fresh coffee, and the prospect of a delightful breakfast with fresh fruit and pastry and hot entrees. At your leisure, join us for breakfast on fine china, by the fire in our elegant Turret dining room.

And the rest of your day? Relax before the fireplace in the library, linger on the broad front porch, play a game of pool in the billiard room, or unwind in our hot tub in the sun room.

Ammi Wright Suite: Perfect for a romantic getaway, wedding night, or anniversary. This spacious room features a king canopy bed, sitting room with wood-burning fireplace, and original hardwood floor. The attached bath has a spacious whirlpool tub. AC, TV.

The Turret Room: Cozy and carpeted, and situated in our trademark turret. This room features a king bed and wood-burning fireplace. The large attached bath has a spacious whirlpool tub (with hand-held shower). AC, TV.
