![]() Built in 1989, the Pinewood Lodge is an 8,400 sq ft log cabin featuring 2 rooms and 2 suites, only a few steps from the awesome grandeur of the world's largest freshwater lake. It is almost impossible to see any civilization from the beach at Pinewood Lodge, yet many excellent restaurants are within a few miles. Its central location on Michigan's North Coast puts the lodge within 2-3 hours of virtually every attraction on the Upper Peninsula. Join us for a most relaxing and enjoyable vacation experience. Enjoy our delightful log home, surrounded by tall Norway pines. After a day of exploring our UP natural wonders, relax in our sauna, or enjoy the view of the lake from our gazebo. Take a walk through Jenny's gardens, or walk our stunning sand beach on the shores of Lake Superior. The decor of our guest rooms varies from antique to rustic. In our craft shop, special handmade items are for sale as gifts or take-home treasures. Area Attractions and Activities: Pictured Rocks National Shore, cruise, waterfalls, golf, skiing, swimming, hiking, boat trips, fishing, biking. Mackinac Island, Soo Locks, Tahquemonen Falls, Fayette, Sunken Ships, Marquette and the Copper Country of the Keweenaw can be visited on a day drive.
