![]() This in-town, award winning, turn-of-the-century home sits proudly upon an estate-sized lot of lush lawns and stately oak trees. To accommodate our guests, the home is decorated in warmth and comfort. The five, centrally air-conditioned guestrooms with private baths are tastefully furnished and enjoy fresh-air-dried sheets and linens. Charming electric fireplaces, removable featherbed mattresses, TV, VCRs, DVDs and WiFi are provided for your enjoyment, comfort and convenience. The upstairs rooms, in the historic side of the home, have a small convenience center with small refrigerator and coffee pot. A separate guest entrance leads to the furnished, enclosed wraparound porch before entering the main hall, with a cozy library tucked away on one end supported by a wide selection of reading materials and CDs. Ample upholstered sofas and chairs entice one into the front parlor, where an inviting fireplace, "collector's piano," large screen TV, VCR and DVD are available for every mood. The 2 main floor bedrooms also have a convenience area which is also well equipped as a business traveler's work station with computer WiFi access, copy/fax machine and office supplies. The Chef's "Specialties of the House" lure one into the charming, informal dining room or onto the the glassed-in porch or outside bay view deck where you may choose to breakfast "al fresco", weather permitting. Breakfast seating arrangements are available to accommodate your individual preferences. Area Attractions and Activities: East Tawas City Park's sandy white beach and grand gazebo are directly across from East Tawas Junction. A walk through the park will lead you to the Tawas Bay Refuge Harbor. This beautiful pier and boat dock is designed to accommodate any skipper's needs. The recently renovated uplighted Tawas Point Lighthouse, located at the Tawas State Park, can be seen across the Bay. It is a hop and a skip across to the beach and a few blocks to restaurants, theatres and shops. Seasonal activities: canoe, kayak or tube on the AuSable River, charter fish on Lake Huron, or fish the AuSable, golf at nationally acclaimed courses, play tennis at a city park, hike or bike along designated paths, x-country ski at renowned Corsair trails in Huron Nat'l Forest or snowmobile miles of trails. Snowshoe or hike at Highbanks along the National Scenic Byway. Antiques, Crafts, Fine Arts, Blues and Perchville Festivals, Lighthouse Tours, Bluegrass Concerts & 2 Community Theatres provide year-round activities.
