Join us for our 20th Anniversary Year at the Elmwood Heritage Inn as we continue to offer a wonderful blend of Victorian architectural artistry, unique location and heartfelt hospitality that is the essence of the Canadian Maritime travel experience. Historic ambiance and 'serious luxury' combine to create an unforgettable trip to our beautiful Island.

Each season offers a special treat on the grounds of this 1889 estate, beginning with the shaded hidden entrance drive under the century old elm trees. Spring brings the flowering ornamental trees, summer our extensive perennial gardens, and in the Fall an explosion of golds and reds and rust followed by winter's magical contrast of mini-lights reflecting in snow-covered walks and trees.

The Elmwood breakfast changes daily but always includes fresh squeezed orange juice, a variety of fresh fruits, cereal, freshly brewed coffee and teas from around the world served in silver teapots. Our hot entrees are different each day and are alternately sweet(i.e. lemon ricotta pancakes, or orange French toast with a Grand Marnier butter sauce)or savory(i.e.baked cheese omelet with a mild salsa or scrambled eggs w/green onion in puff pastry). Our baked confections can include orange cranberry pecan muffins or fresh buttermilk biscuits served with our own peach almond marmalade. Our famous hot chocolate and mulled hot cider are wonderful treats in cool weather.

Cunard Suite: Spacious 4 room suite:living room with fireplace and antique mahogany burl sleigh bed as sofa/bed, French doors open to bedroom w/lace canopy queen bed, kitchen, and bath with double whirlpool, hardwood, Persian rug, and lovely antiques.

Premier's Suite: A luxurious eight-sided queen bed-sitting room, black marble fireplace, bordered broadloom over the hardwood floors, dressing room with six foot thermo-masseur air tub for two, mahogany & walnut woods, lavish private bath, frig/microwave.
