Bed and Breakfast Description

The ranch operations include a rainbow of cattle, a little of this and a little of that! We have a menagerie of wildlife and birds such as rabbits, possums, armadillos, turkeys, bobcats, coyotes, geese, bluebirds, robins, woodpeckers, scissortail, egrets, wild ducks, dove, hummingbirds on the back porch, and sometimes a road runner, just to name a few.

The cottage offers two bedrooms. One bedroom has a king-size bed and fireplace. The second cozy bedroom has a full-size bed. The cottage also has a living room with a fireplace, a full kitchen and a full bathroom.

A continental breakfast is included which consists of the famous West kolaches, sausage and fruit, homemade granola, and either banana nut bread, strawberry nut bread, zucchini nut bread or pumpkin bread depending on the season. Coffee, tea, soft drinks, juice, hot chocolate, and cider are also available for you to enjoy in the privacy of your kitchen.

Country Charm is perfect for meetings, bridal & baby showers, for your out-of-town family and guests, newlyweds, anniversaries, or for any special occasion.

The living area features a stone fireplace with a TV/DVD. Perfect for lounging and reading your favorite book or magazine or watching a movie. There is also a Full kitchen for your convenience.

The large spacious back porch overlooking the pond and creek is perfect to help you embrace the spectacular Texas sunsets.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Many of the folks in West are direct descendants of Czech, Moravian and Bohemian immigrants that settled in Central Texas in the 1800s. The people of West now share their cultural traditions of cooking, baking, arts, crafts, and their love for polka music.

West has been recognized as the "Czech Heritage Capital of Texas" and "home of the official Kolache of the Texas Legislature." Visitors will find many local shops and bakeries displaying the Czech culture that is so much a part of the people in this small town.

There is plenty to do in Waco, and up-to-date monthly information is available in the cottage: savor the Czech food and shopping in West, or shop till you drop in Hillsboro for antiques or at the outlet mall.

Most Popular Rooms:

Master Bedroom: The large Master Bedroom offers a king-size bed and a romantic atmosphere with a large stone fireplace. The cottage is only rented to one guest/family at a time. You will never have to share with someone you don't know.

Full Bedroom: The second cozy bedroom features a full size bed and a more intimate atmosphere.
