Enjoy life in the slow lane at one of the most photographed homes in Lancaster County. Located in Strasburg's Historical District, this 200 year old home is listed on the National Register of Historical Places and the Lancaster County Historic Sites Register. Close to Sight and Sound, The American Music Theater and all of the Strasburg Railroad sights and sounds, we offer you the most comfortable rooms in a historical setting.

A hearty, full breakfast awaits you at 8:30 a.m. in our formal Dining Room on weekdays and 9:00 a.m. on weekends and holidays. Specialties of the house include Baked Raisin French Toast, Egg Strata with country sausage (with Simmons Bakery's famous English Muffin loaf) and Shoofly Cake. Coffee is always on! For a different dining experience, Denise can arrange a dinner with a nearby Amish family with enough notice - a wonderful time for all.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Come partake of the Strasburg experience. We have trains—ride the Strasburg Railroad, visit the National Toy Train Museum, spend a few hours lost in the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum. Take in a show— 1 mile to the Sight and Sound Millennium Theater, 2 miles to the Living Waters Theater, 3 miles to the American Music Theater. Stroll our historic sidewalks—ice cream at The Creamery, coffee at Meranda Zug’s, dinner and a drink at The Iron Horse Inn, a candlelight ghost tour from Mrs. Penn’s Shop.

Most Popular Rooms:

The Jacob Pfoutz Room has queen-sized accommodations, a private bath with shower and an in-room fireplace for those chilly fall and winter evenings.

The Headmaster Room has a queen-sized cherry poster bed & features a newly renovated full in-room bath with double-slipper claw-foot tub & tiled shower. This room is large enough to add a twin bed for extra sleeping space.
