 Located in downtown Micanopy, we're just one block away from 18 antique shops and two cafes. The interior of the mansion displays many attractions of note: leaded glass windows, mahogany inlaid oak floors, maple inlaid floors, twelve foot ceilings, walnut paneling, "tiger oak" paneling and floor-to-ceiling windows in the dining room. The Herlong Mansion is set back from the street and is surrounded by a lovely garden with statuesque old oak and pecan trees. Wonderful suites and rooms with private baths, furnished with antiques, some with Jacuzzi for two. Separate Carriage House, Pump House and Garden Cottage. Wedding packages available. Smoking not permitted anywhere on the property. Pets under 10 lbs. are welcome with previous notice, but only in the cottages. Area Attractions and Activities: 18 antique stores just up the street from the Herlong Mansion, Paynes Prairie State Preserve (State Park)-2 miles, home of 'Cross Creek' and 'The Yearling' author Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings-9 miles, The Yearling Restaurant in Cross Creek-9 miles, University of Florida and UF Shands Hospital-11 miles.
