 The inn's reputation stems from its elegant rooms and outstanding warmth and hospitality. Secluded at the end of a mile long country road that parallels a rushing mountain stream. Nestled on Giant Track Mtn, guests enjoy the inn's hiking trails, ponds and trout stream all on a private wildlife habitat. You may see mule deer, majestic elk, the rare Abert squirrel, porcupine, raccoon, bobcat, and the ever present chipmunks, eager for your handout. The owners Gary and Sue Mansfield have been thinking about their guests' love lives for 16 years. And the rooms and their policy for guests' privacy are strong testimonials to their creativeness. Imagine a room with a waterfall shower by a crackling fire, a shower built out onto a rooftop with a breathtaking view of snow-capped peaks, a swing bed that gently rocks you to sleep in front of the fire, and then awakening in the morning in a magnificent king bed with the glaciers of Rocky Mountain National Park looming over the tops of your toes! And the breakfast, oh those wonderful, scrumptious breakfasts, have been featured in Sunset Magazine, Denver Post and numerous cookbooks. The inn has been the originator of several cookbooks in Colorado. But, best of all, it's the secluded getaway that guests dream of. The inn is very popular so call early for reservations. Area Attractions and Activities: Rocky Mountain National Park, open year round, wonderful hiking and snowshoeing in winter. Estes Park is a quaint mountain village with a variety of shops. Guests find nature viewing from their own decks or patios, as well as from the dining room. Come early for breakfast and sit at the nature table. Fishing on property is a delight. How about a stream-side massage for two? We can pack a picnic backpack for your day's adventure in the national park. Most of our beautiful rooms have jetted tubs for two and all have fireplaces. Only one room is suitable for pets. This is our 20th year as innkeepers of Colorado's "Most Romantic Bed and Breakfast Inn." Most Popular Rooms: Wood Nymph: Perched high above our ponds with a tree top view, giving the feeling of being in a tree house! The handmade river birch canopy bed looks onto a crackling fire. The whirlpool tub for 2 is in a greenhouse bathroom. The second most popular room is Forget Me Not, aptly named, with its cozy book filled library and marble bathroom with radiant heat in the floors. The bedroom with a magnificent king bed has a breathtaking view of the Continental Divide. |
