Bed and Breakfast Description

Cape May's only bed and breakfast inn originally designed as a guest house, way back in 1882. We offer nine uncluttered guest rooms and two suites, each with private bath, air-conditioning, ceiling fan and period furnishings ... a few with ocean views, two with private porch, and hardly any with TV.

The Mooring is in Cape May's historic district, just one building back from the beach and an easy walk to the wonderful restaurants and shops of this small town.

Our dining room features tables for two rather than one large communal one, giving you a little more private space. Our breakfast buffet includes freshly brewed coffee, an assortment of gourmet teas, juices, cereals, and breads. We serve a hot entree each day, alternating between sweet and savory. Favorites include Cream Cheese Stuffed French Toast and Wine & Cheese Omelet.

Room 10: Chinese red with black and gold accents enhance this grand 2nd floor room, with queen size bed and private bath. French doors open to the wide veranda, complete with oceanview.

Room 8: Spacious and sumptuous 2nd floor suite with private porch. Bedroom in rich gold with king-size bed; double doors lead to a private parlor, magnificently furnished in shades of regal plum. TV, CD, DVD; private bath with shower.
