This highly-rated B&B has been carefully restored and meticulously maintained and is now entering it's third decade of serving the sophisticated traveler. The Inn has earned numerous awards for virtually every aspect of its operation. Designer-appointed rooms, delicious breakfasts, professionally designed and maintained landscaping, tranquil koi ponds with a connecting waterfall, and a recently added fitness room, "The Old Harbor Inn has it all."

Breakfast time is always very interesting as our domestic guests interact with our numerous international visitors. The inn's kitchen is always open for a chat with your hosts over a cup of tea or cider.

Chatham serves as a centralized base for exploring all of Cape Cod from Provincetown to Sandwich. The thriving arts village of Provincetown also has whale watches that are always a big hit with visitors. The Truro Vineyards, one the last remaining vineyards on Cape Cod, provide a relaxing old world experience. There are ferries that are convenient for day trips to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. Sandwich boasts the Heritage Plantation and Museums. Over 100 acres make up the Plantation, the former summer home of the Lily Pharmaceutical Family. A truly world class antique car collection awaits the vintage car enthusiasts among us. Sandwich celebrates its glass blowing heritage at The Sandwich Glass Museum.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Chatham received the National Trust for Historic Preservation Distinctive Destination Award for 2007. The town was the first ever to receive this prestigious award on the Cape, and only the fourth ever in the State of Massachusetts.
Chatham is a picturesque village just steps from our door. Whalewatches depart from Provincetown. Several seal tour operations are based in Chatham. The National Seashore begins in Chatham.

Some of the most popular activities include theater, there are three with year round performances. Cape Cod League baseball, band concerts, boating, nearby golfing, bike trails, galleries, museums all insure many choices for the day's activities.

Many guests enjoy not having to use their cars for several days, we are that close to everything.

Most Popular Rooms:

The Stage Harbor Suite has its own living room. The king-sized four-poster cherry wood rice bed has rice plants carved in the bedposts. Matching bureau and bedside tables accent the room. The bath has a glass shower and a two-person Jacuzzi.

South Beach Suite: Has a cathedral ceiling and an in-room fireplace. The queen-sized cherry wood sleigh bed is complemented by a matching marble-topped bureau and table. A full-sized love seat and matching easy chair give this room a special ambiance.

Guests arriving after 9pm please call ahead to make arrangements for self-check-in instructions. We live on site in our own wing of the Inn. We can help help to settle you in after a long day of travel.
