Bed and Breakfast Description

Come and enjoy our 15,000-acre "Home on the Range" for a down-home family experience. Denver and Colorado Springs are only 75 miles away.

Our passive solar home provides spectacular views of the plains. We have 5 furnished guestrooms with family antiques, country charm and modern conveniences. Awaken refreshed to the aroma of a hearty country breakfast. Other meals served upon request.

The family room is well equipped for entertainment including TV/VCR, ping-pong, small pool table, piano, exercise area, microwave, and refrigerator.

Outdoors you can shoot some hoops, laze in the hammock, enjoy the garden, or explore our 5 miles of creek bottom with abundant wildlife.

Children with energetic, attentive parents welcome. Try spinning wool, listen to the bedtime story "Bandit Loot Buried At Big Sandy Creek" from Colorado Treasure Tales (a train robbery in 1900 that happened on the ranch). Let your imagination run wild with Indians and train robbers as you go back in time and see where historic Lake Station Railroad and Stagecoach Station once stood.

For the cowboy experience: bring your horse and ride the range, help on cattle drives or join us at the corrals during branding.

Hunts on the ranch for deer, antelope, turkey, and coyote are booked through Natural Adventures.

Most Popular Rooms:

Prairie Room: Has an antique queen size bed, ceiling fan, and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Colorado ranch yard, garden and horse pasture. There is a private bath across the hall with vintage clawfoot tub and modern walk-in shower.

Bill's Bunkhouse: Has a full bed that is a family heirloom that originally came west by covered wagon. This room has a phone jack and desk for business travelers.
