Bed and Breakfast Description

Welcome to the Angel of the Sea, Victorian Cape May's most elegant bed & breakfast. Located one half block from the beach in the quiet East end of town, the Angel offers the discriminating traveler a chance to experience the charm of a bygone era while enjoying an array of modern amenities.

Each of the 27 guestroom at the Angel, is uniquely furnished in Victorian style and each room has its own private bath. About a quarter of our rooms have ocean views, but all guests have access to common porches and balconies that wrap around the front of our twin houses. Every room at the Angel has cable television and wireless Internet access is offered to all of our guests.

We serve breakfast from 8 to 10 am, and guests may come down anytime they wish. (It's so great to get up early and take a walk down the beach before breakfast.) We try to prepare foods from our cookbook for you to try daily. Portions are large and you may have all you want.

After breakfast, retire to the parlor for coffee and conversation, and plan your daily events with our helpful staff. We can make reservations, arrange for tickets, and direct you to tours and activities. You can drive, walk, or use our complimentary bicycles to get around our quaint town.

Our professional and friendly staff is ready to assist you in any way, whether it's making dinner reservations or mapping out a bicycle excursion. We can tell you where to pick up a bottle of wine and where to buy tickets for a whale watch or trolley tour.

Area Attractions and Activities:

The Angel is located across the street from the Atlantic Ocean, and we provide beach chairs, towels and umbrellas. There are facilities at the beach, lifeguards, boogie board rentals, and a hot dog vendor. We have it all!

Cape May has hundreds of Victorian structures, historical sites, and tours. We also have a very unique pedestrian mall where you might find that "one of a kind" gift for yourself or a friend.

Most Popular Rooms:

All guestrooms at the Angel have private baths (some with the original clawfoot tubs), 13" color televisions, and all are air conditioned in season. Each is individually furnished and accessorized in Victorian style.

Angel Suites: Our largest and best rooms. One has a queen size bed, the rest have kings. Most have oceanviews and several open onto semi-private balconies. All have DVD players and one has a working gas fireplace.
