Bed and Breakfast Description

The inn's unique passive solar two story structure has the character of a mountain lodge. The rustic but charming inn rooms and yurts provide a refuge from the city life.

The two rooms have queen size beds, private baths, minifridges for keeping cold drinks cold and private entrances. The suite has the same amenities as the rooms except a private outside entrance. Suite has a larger living area with simulated fireplace.

Guests also like the inn and yurts for weekend getaways away from their children, a place to celebrate wedding anniversaries, birthdays or a memorable honeymoon.

Located about six miles north of the historic square, we are convenient to all the mountain attractions, waterfalls and wineries.

We offer a lodging alternative that has less impact on the Earth's resources than other types of lodging.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Enjoy exploring the North Georgia mountains, thousands of acres of national forests, numerous waterfalls, nearby State Parks, local wineries/vineyards (one winery is 1.5 miles away), great restaurants and quaint, historic Dahlonega.

The beginning of the Appalachian Trail is also not too far away. Also enjoy the seasonal cultural festivals in Dahlonega or take in a play/musical at the Holly Theater. With our convenient location on Highway 19, you can get to everything quickly.

The Chickadee: Has French doors leading to the outside entrance with stained glass over the doors. This room is bright due to the south exposure of the French doors.

Our yurts are a first for North Georgia and the Southeast. Both yurts even have an electric (simulated wood) stove to add to the charm, romance and comfort on those cool nights. In warmer months, they are air conditioned. Check the website for details.
