Bed and Breakfast Description

Hale Maluhia is a gracious, tropical, up-country inn, in a large rambling Polynesian style home, with a focus on privacy and space to be alone. The climate is exceptional at the 940 foot elevation, usually 75 to 82 degrees; rainfall is about 30" per year.

The inn displays family and local antiques, vaulted beam ceilings, with a very special feeling of openness and comfort. A gallery of original oils by Robert Thomas awaits your viewing in the music room. Library with computer, cable/VCR/surround sound video center that includes an expansive video movie library.

A large deep Japanese spa is available with a jade stone/tile setting and massage jets. The spa is surrounded by a tropical garden with stream, koi and tropical fish ponds, waterfalls and water lilies.

A Contenental 1st mornings breakfast is provided with fresh baked bread, pastries, a fresh basket of local fruits, juices, cereals, milk, teas and 100% pure Kona coffee.

Located just twenty minutes from the Kona International Airport (KOA) and only three miles from Kailua-Kona and the Kona beaches.
