Bed and Breakfast Description

Woodstock, Connecticut bed and breakfast: B&B at Taylor's Corner

The B&B at Taylor's Corner offers traditional lodging in the romance of a completely restored 18th century center chimney farmhouse (then referred to as the "mansion") featuring nine fireplaces, two beehive ovens, a summer kitchen, wide-board floors and other architectural features common to the 1700s.

Taylor's Corner provides smoke-free lodging in 3 air-conditioned, fireplaced guestrooms, w/phones, private baths & queen, twin/king beds. Adirondack chairs among Peggy's gardens beacon guests to sit and breathe the fresh country air. Eight fireplaces invite winter guests to warm hearts & souls by crackling fires.

We have three air-conditioned guest rooms. All have fireplaces, wireless Internet, individual thermostats and private baths. There are three common rooms, each with its own fireplace. In addition, all are furnished with antiques and reproductions. It's a comfortable style of life, yet allowing present-day convenience.

Common areas include the "keeping room" where you can sit with a friend, a good book or play the piano. Watch TV, DVD or use the XBox in the parlor (Satellite connection with premium movie channels). And then, of course, is our dining room. A full breakfast is served everyday. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated with prior notice. Complimentary light snacks and beverages are available.

Coming through on business? Wonderful -- we have faxing and copying services available, wireless Internet access is free of charge.

    Area Attractions and Activities:

The B&B at Taylor's Corner is a great home base for your vacation travels. We are in the heart of almost two dozen towns and almost 800 square miles of Connecticut's "Quiet Corner." More properly, it is known as the "Quinebaug and Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor", the last green valley between Boston and New York.

Truth be told, though, our neck of the woods is filled to the brim with fun and enchanting things to do. We are convenient for your visits to Ashford, Brooklyn, Canterbury, Chaplin, Columbia, Coventry, Eastford, Hampton, Killingly, Lebanon, Mansfield, Plainfield, Pomfret, Putnam, Scotland, Sterling, Thompson, Union, Willington, Windham and, of course, great spots right here in Woodstock.

Old Sturbridge Village is an easy drive away, as is Mystic Seaport. Maybe a casino. Perhaps you wish to visit a university in Connecticut, Rhode Island or Massachusetts? We are just off Scenic Route 169 (a National Scenic Byway).
