The Bark Eater Inn

Keene, New York.

Originally a stagecoach stopover, the inn is an old farm nestled in the famous Adirondack Mountains, minutes from the Olympic village of Lake Placid.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Keene, New York bed and breakfast: The Bark Eater Inn

Due to its location off the main road, the inn offers a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Minutes away are all the summer or winter activities and attractions one might expect to find in a famous mountain vacation area.

Accommodations include our 150-year-old farmhouse with two fireplaces and three spacious common rooms, antiques everywhere, and seven bedrooms with shared baths. Four bedrooms with private baths are in the renovated carriage house.

Famous for its food, the inn's style is refreshing country gourmet. Wake up to the smell of an old-fashioned, stagecoach breakfast complete with homemade, warm granola. Pour your mug of coffee, place your order and relax on our famous porch while you enjoy the sounds of the horses in the pasture and calm serenity of the mountain breeze.
