Bed and Breakfast Description

Wabasha, Minnesota bed and breakfast: The Historic Anderson House B&B

The Historic Anderson House is a true step back into yesterday. Most of the furniture dates back to the opening in 1856, making this the oldest operating Country Inn in Minnesota, and west of the Mississippi!

The present innkeepers, Teresa & Mike Smith, are leaving Grandma Anderson's personality and plans in place though it has been years since she purchased and ran the hotel. Her remarkable knowledge of foods is still the cornerstone of the Inn's success.

The ever-filled cookie jar is still present at the front desk. Grandma's famous Chicken Noodle Soup, Dutch Cinnamon Rolls and Chicken & Dumplings still lend great interest and excitement to the daily menus.

As in Grandma's day, shoes left outside the door are meticulously shined. Cold feet will enjoy a hot brick for your bed, carefully presented in a quilted envelope.

Grandma Anderson left a heritage of caring and sharing. Her priorities, service, comfort, great interest and excellent food are as important now as then...

We hope you'll become addicted to our Historic Anderson House as well.
