![]() We are in the heart of a 36 block historic district as designated on the National Historic Register. We have received numerous awards; from “Most Historic Inn” to “Best Breakfast in the Southeast” to “Most Affordable Luxury Bed & Breakfast” voted by our guests in competition with B&B’s nationwide. Your hosts, Stuart and Eileen Johnson, provide unobtrusive, careful attention to every detail of your stay. From the light scent of lavender misted, crisply ironed pillow cases, the homemade muffins and breakfast breads, the ever present “cookie jar” brimming with homemade Biscotti and the sherry decanter on the dining room sideboard, your visit will be memorable from start to finish. Weekday guests will find an expanded European breakfast with a variety of homemade baked goods, a choice of fresh juices, a choice of fresh fruit, beverage and our famous Allison House Inn granola. Weekenders are offered a full breakfast with such items as stuffed French toast, crepes, baked eggs, and quiche. Our signature homemade marmalade is always on the table and no one ever leaves hungry. On the grounds and in the gardens one will find crepe myrtle trees, azaleas, roses, jasmine, gardenia bushes, almond and magnolia trees. Floral scents abound.
