![]() The Guesthouse was created by connecting and restoring three turn-of-the-century brick houses. Many original details like inlaid wood floors and stained glass windows remain in our three turn-of-the-century homes. Each of the 19 rooms has an inviting personality, with special touches like cozy fireplaces, bubbling Jacuzzi® baths and luxurious suites. The 1777 House at Doneckers is a nearby historic property built in 1777 and restored in 1988. Two multi-level loft suites were added in the carriage house in 1990. The original home was built by a Cloister clockmaker for his family. During the 1800's, it was an Inn used as a resting stop for travelers on their way to or from Philadelphia. Area Attractions and Activities: Doneckers Fashion Store, award-winning restaurant, fine furniture, Amish farmlands, antiquing, golf, shopping, close to several amusement parks. We are located 20 minutes away from both Lancaster and Reading, 30 minutes from Hershey, 1 hour and 15 minutes from Gettysburg and Philadelphia. Services: Sitting room, Jacuzzis, suites, fireplace, cable TV, personal CD players Most Popular Rooms: Wheatland Suite: All rooms are individually decorated with hand-stenciled walls, handmade curtains, and European as well as local antiques. Carriage House Lofts: 2 three-level lofts situated behind the 1777 House.
