Bed and Breakfast Description

Angels Rest on Resurrection Bay offers the only fully modern waterfront cabins in all of Seward

Lynda & Paul work extremely hard to make your stay as wonderful as possible, and after expanding in 2008, are offering a total of three waterfront cabins, and one 4-plex cabin in woods overlooking the waterfront. These cabins and rooms are tiny havens for relaxation!

All cabins & rooms offer queen beds, kitchenettes with small refrigerator, 2-burner stoves or cook-tops, microwave, toaster, coffee pot; private baths with shower. Cooking utensils and dishes are provided including BBQ grill and ice chest. And all linens & towels.

The waterfront cabins (Wing,Gatehouse & Cloud 9 Cabins) sleep 2 in 1 queen bed, and offer incredible views of scenery and wildlife. They have private access to the beach. These cabins have covered porches so you can sit outside regardless of the weather.

The Gatehouse Cabin is also wheelchair accessible!

The Heron Roost 4-plex cabin overlooks the waterfront cabins and has 2 units up and 2 down, 3 units have great views of the bay and mountains beyond; 1 unit has view of woods (in 2009 all units will have views of bay). Each room has private entrance, 1 Queen bed, private bath w/shower & kitchenette. One of the upper units has an optional 2nd bedroom with 2 twin beds, perfect for small families.

All cabins and rooms are handcrafted and offer a special feel & charm, featuring lots of wood inside and Paul's famous Silhouette Shingle Artwork on the outside

Area Attractions and Activities:

Don't just make Seward a part of your Alaska vacation; make it your vacation! Spend at least 3 or 4 nights (or 5 to qualify for our "GO GREEN rate"), in order to take in the extensive list of activities available! Plus, the cabins are so special, you'll want time to just relax!

Here are a few of the possible activities to choose from: a visit to Kenai Fjords National Park, both via a boat tour and via Exit Glacier, one of the few glaciers you can walk right up to. Hike the Harding Icefield trail for some spectacular views and the chance to walk on the icefield. Go fishing for halibut or salmon, or do some fresh catch and release fishing for trout & dolly Varden. There is both sea and lake kayaking available. Go dog sledding on land or snow. The numerous hiking trails accessible summer and winter are amazing. Wildlife viewing, a visit to the Alaska SeaLife Center, horseback riding and flight seeing are also highly recommended. Wildlife viewing from our waterfront cabins amazing.

Our waterfront cabins are extremely popular year round. Positioned perfectly on the waterfront, each cabin provides the perfect view of the bay and snow capped mountains beyond. The wildlife is abundant, and up close and personal! Lie in bed and watch!

The Heron's Roost an energy efficient 4-plex cabin, overlooks our waterfront and also offers stunning views. Comfortable rooms with queen bed, comfortable chairs, private baths with shower & kitchenettes. One unit offers optional 2nd bedroom w/2 twins.
