On a stone ridge overlooking the countryside, Yankee Cricket B&B offers guests a quiet woodlands retreat. Guests are warmly welcomed & offered the amenities of a new home with the coziness of an authentic 18th century inn.

Bed and Breakfast Description

The early American style is visible throughout: stenciled walls and floors in the entry, lavatory, and three-season porch; stone fireplaces; wide-plank floors; tin lighting fixtures throughout the home; and original murals of the local countryside covering the four walls of the dining room.

Delicious cherry almond scones are always available and the early morning smell of bacon cooking on the hearth acts as a very gentle alarm clock.

Set on 19 acres, beyond the house is another ridge that opens to where active guests may hike or snowshoe. The herb garden, fireplaced library, and Great Room hearth entice guests to kick off their shoes and relax with a book, a game, or quiet conversation.

Area Attractions and Activities:

The Sturbridge-Brimfield area is nationally known for Old Sturbridge Village and the Brimfield Antique Shows. It is also known for its many unique shops, antique shops, and fine restaurants. Area parks sponsor summer and winter activities in every season; hiking is always in season.
