Trail's End Inn, a romantic 1902 Adirondack lodge nestled in New York's spectacular Keene Valley amid soaring mountain peaks. This rustic, romantic and secluded inn is ideally located for all seasons. Easily accessible, the inn is 1/3 mile off the main highway, quiet and secluded, surrounded by meadows and gorgeous mountains.

Built in 1902, it reflects the charm and ambiance of that era. Enjoy wide board floors, brick fireplaces, spacious guest rooms, sleeping porches, clawfoot or whirlpool tubs and plenty of common areas for guest comfort. Many of our rooms have screened sleeping porches for enjoying the fresh air and soothing forest sounds. You will, of course, also have the amenities that the modern traveler expects, such as wi-fi high speed internet access and in-room telephones.

Lodging includes a full breakfast served each morning between 7:30 and 9:00 AM. Our specialties are both healthy and delicious. We feature dishes like blueberry pancakes, toasted pecan waffles, blueberry French toast, omelets, eggs Benedict, and baked egg dishes such as quiches, soufflés and frittatas. Vegetarian main dishes are always available.

The atmosphere at Trail's End is casual, leisurely and welcoming in the country inn tradition. From the first friendly greeting, to the games, puzzles and books around the fire, to the hearty breakfasts in the sunny breakfast room overlooking the bird feeders, our staff is dedicated to making your stay relaxing, memorable and enjoyable. We are open year-round and Trail's End is an ideal destination in any season. We are just 15 miles from the Olympic downhill mountain and 12 miles from the Olympic cross-country site. Lake Placid, just 18 miles from here, has skating, hockey, ice shows and the kinds of winter activities that Olympians are looking for.

Area attractions include skiing, biking, hiking, rock & ice climbing, touring Lake Placid Olympic sites, canoeing, antique shopping, and visiting the Adirondacks. The Adirondack Park is larger than the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone National parks combined.

Most Popular Rooms:

Gothics Room: Romantic and secluded room overlooking meadow at the back of the Inn with wood burning fireplace, private bath with whirlpool tub for two, king size bed.

Catamount Room: Overlooks the front yard with an attached sleeping porch. Wide pine floors with a queen size bed, small beehive fireplace in the corner and private bath.
