Gourmet is the word here, and inventiveness. Breakfasts include the house special--cornmeal pancakes topped with black beans, salsa verde and sour cream. Strata, raised waffles with fresh strawberries, a heavenly baked spinach and egg dish, and blueberry-stuffed French toast are other favorites.

The Birdsnest: A large suite occupying the entire 3rd floor. A balcony provides sweeping views of the mountains. There is a spacious living room, kitchen, bedroom and bath.

The Foxglove: Two rooms separated by an alcove with an open bath (large clawfoot bathtub sits right out in one of the rooms). A delightful room furnished with antiques and original paintings.
