Regardless of the season, a visit to the festival city of Salzburg is always worthwhile. Come and enjoy the culture, the shopping, or just to breathe in some of the special atmosphere! Most of the sights are within walking distance. You can arrange sightseeing tours at the front desk. There are also Sound of Music Tours that run twice a day.

Destinations such as Getreidegasse, Linzergasse, the Mozart Museum, and the festival halls as well as the Salzburg Congress Center are easy to reach in a few minutes by foot. The fairgrounds are about a 10 mile drive away. Mirabell Palace is a place of great beauty and the palace gardens are equally delightful. Hohensalzburg Fortress was originally built in 1077 under Archbishop Gebhard. The work was completed in the 17th century. The Fortress is Salzburg`s landmark and also the largest preserved citadel in Central Europe.
