Patricia Cantlon invites you to her elegant, romantic, secluded 18th century home Cullintra House, set in 230 acres of hill and woodland walks where a private path leads to Mt. Brandon.

Excellent cuisine, log fires and candlelit dinner parties each evening make for many new friendships being formed at Patricia's dinner table. Good hotel award for utterly enjoyable, mild eccentricity.

Patricia is an accomplished artist and cook. Her home is renowned for its breakfasts 'till midday and leisurely candlelit dinners all superbly prepared from rich local produce. Visitors of all nationalities mingle in Patricia's little dining room.

There is a barn apartment also available as a guest room. A large studio/garden room with tea and coffee making facilities are there for the use and enjoyment of our guests.

The local scenery and grounds are perfect for groups and painting holidays.

    County Kilkenny is the site of some of the oldest human activity in Ireland and is sometimes called the Medieval County. There are the dolmens and earth works up to Georgian buildings.

    Kilkenny is known as The Marble City and has many of the best medieval buildings in Ireland such as Kilkenny Castle which dates back to the 12th century, and Saint Candice Cathedral.

    Kilkenny is a modern day artistic center and has many festivals, with a music festival in the spring and a comedy festival in the beginning of summer.

    If you like sporting events the hurling team is well worth a visit to a game.

    Nearby are riverside walks, fishing and swimming.
