Bed and Breakfast Description

The Anchorage Hotel, Dominica, was established in 1971 by the Armour Family and is perched over the tranquil Caribbean Sea just one mile south of our capital city, Roseau, and only minutes away from most nature attractions.

Anchorage Hotel is one of the foremost luxurious hotels, and is also a certified PADI dive center. The dive facilities offer a 39-foot boat with capacity for 14 divers. There is also a 30-foot boat for whale watchers, a 60-foot catamaran is also available.

The Ocean Terrace Restaurant has a 5 star Chef and skilled cooks who serve mouth watering local or international cuisine, a restaurant where every plate entices. Nighttime is especially inviting, overlooking the Caribbean sea provides a wonderful dining experience.

The Carib Bar is perfect for relaxing with its comfortable chairs, books, magazines and board games.

The staff are attentive and friendly natives. Anchorage is a home away from home.

We are a 32 room tropical paradise situated 7 minutes from the Roseau The anchorage Hotel is ideal for the business traveler as well the vacationer.

Our 12 Standard Rooms are directly overlooking our swimming pool with a breathtaking view of the tranquil Caribbean Sea as well as the capital, Roseau, and accommodate up two persons including a child (age 5 and under) on 1 double bed and a twin. The 20 Superior Rooms are perched over the Caribbean Sea, with views of both north and south of our western coast.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Boiling Lake: Level: Advanced Hike. The trail for this advanced hike starts at Titre Tou Gorge near the village of Laudat; you will be driven there by 8:30 a.m to meet with your Boiling Lake guide.

This strenuous hike takes you into the Morne Trois Piton World Heritage Site through a tract of secondary forest, then up and over ridges crossing two streams, through virgin Rain forests and Elfin Woodlands before entering the Valley of Desolation.

A few minutes later you will arrive at the brim of the World's largest Boiling Lake. Includes a packed lunch of sandwiches and natural fruit juice.
